Richard^7 Montgomery (Rebecca^6, John^5, Paul^4, Garret^3, Gerrit^2, Jentie^1 Jeppes) b. 22 April 1810 in New York State and d. 15 December 1840 in Murray Twp, Ontario, CAN) m. Lucy Ann Stephens (b. abt. 1815). Their daughter, Rebecca^8 Montgomery, may be the one who is m. to Gates Van Wicklin in the 1881 Ontario census (see 7 July 2000 email below). Lucy A. was a witness at the marriage of her sister-in-law, Jane Montgomery, d/o Hught & Rebecca, to John Mannay 18 December 1835.
